Hier sammeln sich gerade die Wildgänse – immer schön im Kreis um die noch ankommenden mit aufzunehmen in die Flugformation. Das wars wohl für die warmen Tage in diesem Jahr. . Dann hoffe ich, dass sie bald zurück kommen nächstes Jahr und der Winter nicht wieder so ein elend langer und kalter wird wie die letzten drei – die ja lt. Metereologen eh viel zu lang und kalt waren.

Jetzt aber flott dicke Socken und warme Pullover auspacken. Muss. Schneller. Stricken.

 The wild geese are congregating here. Round and round in a circle to let those who are coming later join the flight formation. Seems, this were the last warm days this year . I reall do hope the geese will come back early next year and the Winter will not be as cold and long as in the last three years – especially as these have been too cold and hard for hereabouts anyway, according to the weather experts.

So, it`s high time for thick socks and warm jumpers. Got. To. Knit. Faster.

Auch wenn es jetzt rapide auf den Winter zugeht – heute konnte ich noch ein bisschen Sonne erwischen:

Even if Winter is rapidly coming – today I managed to catch a bit of sunlight.

Es ist Ende August – kalendarisch und metereologisch also quasi Hochsommer. Sonne. Hitze. Und so weiter. Von wegen. 12 Grad draussen und drin 17.

Soeben haben wir offiziell die Heizsaison 2011/12 im Kaminofen eröffnet. Oder den Testlauf dafür. Oder wie auch immer. Memo für morgen – Kaminholzliefertermin ausmachen. Fester Sonnenschein in Holzform sieht dann so aus:

It is the end of August – according to the calendar and metereology still high summer. Sun. Heat. Etc. As if! 12 C/54 F outside and 17 C/63 F inside.

So we started the first fire in our wood stove for the winter season of 2011/12. Or maybe just testing the stove. Whatever. den Testlauf dafür. Memo for tomorrow – contact the guy who delivers the logs for the stove. Sunshine transformed into solid matter. Looks like the picture up there.

Kurze Zusammenfassung der Lage: Es ist August und damit offiziell Hochsommer – bei kuscheligen 22 Grad und feuchtkühlem Dauerregen.  Nun will ich mich nicht beklagen, da ich die Hitze eh nicht so gut ab kann, aber so 2 – 3 Grad wärmer und Sonnenschein bei blauem Himmel… na gut, wenn es nicht sein soll, dann eben träumen von Wärme und Orient mit Henna zum Haarefärben satt (Schwarz, Umbra/Terra, Naturrot) und einer fantastischen Seife mit Weihrauch und Oud/Adlerholz:

Das Naturrot ging dann fast als Einzelfarbe aufs Haar (gemischt mit einem Rest Mahagoni) und wurde tatsächlich nicht karottig sondern rot. Hübsch. Es hat immerhin 2 Tage gedauert, bis ich im Büro darauf angesprochen wurde *kicher*. Back Office statt Kundenverkehr hat schon was für sich.

Und die Zhenobya Seife ist der Wahnsinn – Harun Rashid (auf dem Foto die dunkle unten), in der Tat ein Dufttraum aus 1001 Nacht. Riecht “wie ein ganzer Indien-Laden” lt. meinem Schatz. Stimmt auch.

Die hellere Seife ist ein festes Shampoo und auch ganz nett, aber nicht ganz so begeisternd wie die Harun Rashid.

Dazu noch ein paar gute Räucherstäbchen und die passende Musik, und mein ganz privater Time and Place Warp ist fertig .

Short summary of the situation: It is August and so officially midsummer – cosy 22 C /71 F, wet and cool and continual  rain. I really do not want to complain as heat is not really my climate but 2.5 C / 36 F warmer and sunshine with blue skies would be really nice. But as that obviously is not to be at the moment, I dream of warmth and the Orient with lots of Henna to dye my hair (black, umbra/terra, natural red) and a wonderful soap with incense and Oud in it.

I used the natural red almost by itself (with just a small left-over of Mahogany added) and it did not turn out carrot red but red. Nice. It took 2 days until anyone in the office asked about it *giggle*. Working in the Back Office instead of directly with customers has its advantages.

The soap manufactured by Zhenobya is really great – named Harun Rashid (the dark one on the picture) and really smells like a dream out of 1001 Nights. Smells like “a whole shop with goodies from India” as DH said. Correct

The second soap is a shampo and fine as well but not as glorious as the Harun Rashid.

Add some good quality incense sticks and the right music and my very personal time and place warp is ready for take off  .

Erstaunlich, was man alles im Garten findet. Beim Pflaumenbaum checken bin ich doch fast auf diesen Mitbewohner getreten (aber nur fast!!):

Nicht grösser als ein Daumenfingernagel, dafür sehr springfreudig *gg*. Frosch? Kröte? Keine Ahnung, war bei der Fingernagelgrösse nicht auszumachen. Vielleicht sieht man sich ja mal wieder, wenn der Kleine ein bisschen grösser ist. Bis dahin (und auch danach), herzlichen Willkommen im Garten und lass Dir die Fliegen und Mücken nach Herzenslust schmecken!

Really surprising, whom you can meet in this garden. While checking the plums for ripeness I almost trod on this little one up there (but only almost!).

Not larger than a thumbnail but very much for hopping around. A frog? A toad?  No idea, just too small to say anything definitely.  Maybe we will meet again when the little one is a bit larger. Until then (and afterwards as well) a heartily welcome in the garden and I very much hope the flies and midges around here are very much to your taste!
