Unglaublich – die Hyazinthe wurzelt wie verrückt und ein winziges bisschen Grün ist auch schon zu sehen. Nach der mitgelieferten Anleitung kann ich sie Ende Januar/Anfang Februar einpflanzen:

Die Rosen sind inzwischen fast verblüht aber zwischendrin sind die Blüten noch wunderschön aufgegangen:

I am really surprised – the hyacinth strikes root like mad and already sprouts a tiny green stem. According to instructions I can plant it around end of January/beginning of February.

The bloom of the roses is almost gone but they opened up wonderfully as seen above.

Another 3 days to go till Winter Solstice.

Gegen das jetzt voll erblühte triste Wintergrau – der Versuch, mit Pink dagegenzuhalten. Bis  ich das Grau dann in ein paar Wochen so richtig über habe, ist hoffentlich das Pink da und der Blütenduft um mich an den Frühling zu erinnern. Bitte sehr – die jährliche Hyazinthenzwiebel:

Winters Grey is in it`s full bloom now. So  – proudly presenting the yearly hyacinth bulb trying to combat the grey with a bit of pink. When I will be really really fed up with the grey in a few weeks time, I hope the pink will be in bloom and the flower scent to remind me of spring.

I think I`ll call her Edith.

Wintereinbruch – hoffentlich bleibt das jetzt nicht wieder 4 Monate so.

Now it`s winter in earnest. I hope it won`t last for 4 months like the last one. Sugar powdery snow on the pine, golden sunlight and blue skies with low temperatures.

Das hier ist der letzte Teil der Ernte aus der Gartensaison 2010. Die letzte Aubergine und die halbreife Pepperoni sind für die Gartenkobolde. Damit erkläre ich die Ernte für dieses Jahr als beendet, der Grossteil war sowieso Erfahrung . Nächstes Jahr dann  auf ein Neues.

This is the last part of the harvest from the garden season 2010. The last eggplant and the half ripe pepperoni are our due to the garden kobolds. So I declare the harvest season as finished for this year. The largest part was experience anyway. Next season, next try.
