Die Aprikose auf dem Balkon hats diesen Winter geschafft, obwohl ich sie nicht eingepackt hatte:

The little Apricot sapling on the balcony did survive the winter, even if I did not give it any support. Same goes for the Olive. Next winter they will be warmly sheltered, I promise.

Lastly, the newest addition concerning relaxation. A not-quite-a-hammock, made in El Salvador under fair-trade conditions.

Just hang loose for a while .

Ich hab gehört, Neonfarben sind diesen Sommer sehr angesagt.

Wie man aus dem vorigen Beitrag sieht, hat dieser Trend meine Zehennägel schon erreicht, obwohl ich eher mode-resistent bin.

Und ein weiterer Akzent hat sich in meine Garderobe geschlichen: Neonpinke Söckchen – Neongrün war leider aus, sonst hätte ich davon auch ein Paar genommen.

Aber das, was mir diese Woche am Bahnhof über den Weg gelaufen ist, leuchtet im Dunkeln:

Neonpinke Pumps (sehr schick übrigens), neongrüne Jeans (sieht an der Figur auch gut aus IMO), Oberteil in neongrün und neongelb gemixt. Alles einzeln sehr trendy. Als Ensemble ist der Gesamteindruck  eher überwältigend.

Aber jede wie sie mag.

This summer, neon colors are said to be very trendy.

As seen in the previous post, this trend has reached my toe nails, even if I am normaly rather fashion resistant.

Wie man aus dem vorigen Beitrag sieht, hat dieser Trend meine Zehennägel schon erreicht, obwohl ich eher mode-resistent bin. One more thing has sneaked into my wardrobe today. Ankle socks in neon pink – neon green unfortunately was out of stock, otherwise I would have taken a pair of these as well.

But the outfit I saw this week at the train station positively glows in the dark. Pumps in neon pink (tres chic btw), neon green Jeans (looked quite good with that figure), top in neon green and neon yellow. Every piece very trendy by itself. Worn together, is makes for a rather overwhelming impression.

But to each their own.

Hier sammeln sich gerade die Wildgänse – immer schön im Kreis um die noch ankommenden mit aufzunehmen in die Flugformation. Das wars wohl für die warmen Tage in diesem Jahr. . Dann hoffe ich, dass sie bald zurück kommen nächstes Jahr und der Winter nicht wieder so ein elend langer und kalter wird wie die letzten drei – die ja lt. Metereologen eh viel zu lang und kalt waren.

Jetzt aber flott dicke Socken und warme Pullover auspacken. Muss. Schneller. Stricken.

 The wild geese are congregating here. Round and round in a circle to let those who are coming later join the flight formation. Seems, this were the last warm days this year . I reall do hope the geese will come back early next year and the Winter will not be as cold and long as in the last three years – especially as these have been too cold and hard for hereabouts anyway, according to the weather experts.

So, it`s high time for thick socks and warm jumpers. Got. To. Knit. Faster.

Mmmmmhmjam, lecker. Rosenblüte Limonade von Völkl in Bioqualität. Ohne weitere Worte, einfach nur geniessen.

My DH went grocery shopping today and brought back roses for me – no bouquet but lemonade from an organic producer here in Germany. Mmmmmmh – no further words, I just enjoy.

Neues Jahr, neuer Sport – Bowling – Hau sie weg die Zehn!

Und wenn man schon dabei ist, gleich die richtige Ausrüstung. Bowling Schuhe mit rose.

“Passend” dazu, der blinzelnde Drachen Ball mit meiner Hand angepasst gebohrten Löchern:

Ich hoffe, die Pins lassen sich durch die harmlosen Pink-Girly-Schuhe täuschen und erschrecken sich ausreichend, wenn der Ball vorbeikommt, dass sie freiwillig aus der Bahn hüpfen.

Wenn ich endlich diese miese Erkältung los bin, werde ich es demnächst in der Boa Bowling Arena Troisdorf Spich testen und berichten.

New year, new sport – Bowling – strike!

And while I am at it, the correct equipment. Bowling shoes with light pink color accents.

Complete with the “fitting” ball, the Dragon`s Eye with custom drilled  holes for me. I hope the pins will be fooled by the harmless looking pink girly shoes and be sufficiently frightened when the dragon`s eye comes along so that they hop out of the lane voluntarily. Will try as soon as I am rid of this mean cold and report back here.
