Ich hoffe, Ihr hattet alle schöne Feiertage – was auch immer gefeiert wurde.

Habe heute herausgefunden, dass im Juli 2010  “Shrek Ever After” (Teil IV)  ins Kino kommt O.k. ist vielleicht nicht die neueste oder wichtigste Nachricht der letzten Zeit aber ich war die letzten 2 Monate etwas anderweitig “beschäftigt”.

Wo ich gerade dabei war (und abends momentan Shrek auf DVD läuft) hab ich bei youtube vorbeigeschaut und dabei in der Robin Hood Szene festgestellt, dass Shrek im Original mit schottischem Akzent spricht – *lol*

“That´s MY princess. Go find yer own”.

Köstlich. Ich muss mir doch mal die Filme im englischen Original reinziehen…

Und weil ich schon mal dabei war – der alte Bonnie Tyler Hit “Holding Out For A Hero” in der Adaption der “guten” Fee für den Ball war schon immer mein Favorit. Jennifer Saunders bringt ihn so richtig schön emotional bombastisch rüber.

Super süss natürlich auch der Gestiefelte Kater mit den grooooossen Augen

Hope all of you had happy holidays – whatever it was, that you celebrated.

Today I found out that in July 2010 “Shrek Ever After” (Teil IV)  will be hitting the cinemas. Great. O.k., might not be the newest or most important news around but the last two months I was occupied with diffrent matters.

As Shrek I – III was DVD fodder over X-mas time, I sauntered over to youtube and noticed while viewing the Robin Hood Scene that Shrek in the original film version has a scottish accent

“That´s MY princess. Go find yer own”.

Up to now I only saw the syncroniced version in german as that is my native tongue. Scottish. Delicious. I think I will have to see the original versions some day soon.

And while I was at it – “Holding Out For A Hero” by Bonnie Tyler adapted by the Fairy Godmother for the ballroom scene was always my favourite. Jennifer Saunders gives a beautiful bombastic emotional quality to it.

Alles Gute für Sir Terry und hoffentlich findet die Forschung bald ein Heilmittel gegen Alzheimer – im Interesse aller davon Betroffenen. Sir Terry hat 1 Million $ gespendet, mögen sie erfolgreich verwendet werden.

Die Signature Needles haben es mir ja doch angetan.

Zahlungsmöglichkeit auf der Web-Site ist aber nur per Kreditkarte. Mach ich ja gar nicht gerne, vor allem nicht online. Nach den Skandalen in letzter Zeit mit Datenklau und -verkauf bin ich da noch sensitiver drauf. Paypal ist mir da 1.000 mal lieber, weil meine Kontodaten nicht weiter gegeben werden.

Also mal freundlich angefragt Freitag Nacht, ob denn vielleicht eventuell demnächst auch per Paypal gezahlt werden könnte – gut, da war dort auch schon Büroschluss, vor Montag hab ich keine Antwort erwartet.

Ups. Nach der gewohnten Servicewüste hier in D war ich erst mal platt. Weiss nicht wann ich mich das letzte Mal als Kundin ernst genommen gefühlt habe. Warum geht das woanders mit Kundendienst und hier in Deutschland kommt man sich noch als Bittsteller vor, wenn man Geld loswerden möchte?

On their web-site they offer payment only via credit card. Here in Germany we had some pretty bad skandals this year with credit card data stolen or sold by criminals in large style. It was not the companies themselves who were to blame. But I really prefer payment by Paypal because I don´t have to disclose my account details online.

So I asked by mail Friday night if there are plans for the near future for payment by paypal. As it was already after office hours, I didn´t expect a reply before monday. Wow, was I floored when I got the reply on Sunday evening – and by Mrs. Vice President herself.

Paypal no problem at all, just order by mail please and it will be shipped.

Now, this might not seem a big deal for Americans – but here in Germany customer service is notoriously bad. We even coined a term for it – Servicewüste – which means a desert concerning service. So it´s a real treat to be considered a valuable customer instead of a nuisance just because you want to spend some money on their products.

So, the order is on it´s way. I´m pretty eager to see, how it will turn out.
