So this is the 40th anniversary of Woodstock – something I missed completely, even in media coverage, as I was just in kindergarden at that time. Couldn´t say that this event had a real impact on my life in the years to follow.
However, the same week, something else happened – Gary Gygax met Dave Arneson for the first time – and the rest, as they say, is (gaming) history. Dungeons and Dragons was born from that union and oh, did (A)D&D have an impact on my life 
Besides tons of fun I found my husband – the best of all – in pursuing that interest.
So, thankx to Gary (died 4th March 2008) and Dave (died 7th April 2009) for creating D & D!
We will remember you!
No matter where you are, I hope you have fun.

Vor 40 Jahren war Woodstock – etwas, das komplett an mir vorbei gegangen ist, da ich damals gerade in den Kindergarten ging. Könnte auch nicht sagen, dass dieses Ereignis in den weiteren Jahren mein Leben gross beeinflusst hätte.
In der gleichen Woche passierte aber noch etwas anderes: Gary Gygax und Dave Arneson begegneten sich das erste Mal auf einem Con – und der Rest ist (Spiel) Geschichte. Die beiden schufen Dungeons und Dragons und (A)D&D hatte einen gewaltigen Einfluss auf mein Leben
Abgesehen von jeder Menge Spass habe ich meinen Mann – den besten von allen – dabei gefunden.
Daher, danke an Gary (gestorben 04.03.2008) und Dave (gestorben 07.04.2009) für D & D!
Wir werden Euch nicht vergessen!
Egal wo Ihr seid, ich hoffe, Ihr habt Spass.
